The Devil in Mr. Matthews: Dave Matthews is set to release his first solo album, Some Devil, in September, according to Rolling Stone. But while Dave fiddled about with his personal pet project, at least one member of his band has been busy with his own music. Dave's violin and fiddle player, the good-lookin' Boyd Tinsley, has a first solo effort, True Reflections, also hitting the shelves.

Tinsley's gentle, sentimental, lovey-dovey album was produced by a bunch of talented dudes, including Craig Street (who works with k.d. lang), and features mostly melodic country-tinged relationship tunes. The title song has become a staple at Matthews' gigs, and Boyd's boss even added vocals for the track.

"I thought Dave did an amazing job," Boyd said, "He just came in, and like everyone else on the album, put his whole heart into it."

But never fear that these guys may stay solo. The very day of Tinsley's release, June 17, the Dave Matthews Band heads out on the road for a 50-date tour beginning in Columbus, Ohio. "I know my life is gonna be a little crazier than it has been," Tinsley said, "but I feel more prepared to do it. The most important thing is to play music, have fun, pour my heart out and move people." In that order?

Story one: Last month while visiting Charleston, three women went into a Starbucks. They were spending the weekend together and one of them had a disposable camera with her. To commemorate their time with one and other they decided to take round robin pictures while sitting around communing. The manager evidently careened out of control, screaming at them, “Didn’t they know it was illegal to take photographs in a Starbucks. She insisted that she had to have the disposable camera because this was an absolute violation of Starbuck’s copyright of their entire ‘environment’--that everything in the place is protected and cannot be used with Starbuck’s express permission.

'Jackass' star jailed in Sweden
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (Reuters) -- A television star's quip that a drugs-packed condom was lodged in his intestines did not amuse Swedish police.

They arrested Stephen Glover, co-star of "Jackass" on MTV, after he told a newspaper that prior to arriving in Sweden he had swallowed a condom filled with marijuana. He said he was afraid it had got stuck.

"He is now sitting in a cell on a special toilet with an alien object in his stomach. We are waiting for it to come out so we can analyse the contents," prosecutor Gunnar Fjaestad told Reuters Friday.

Glover was touring Sweden with his own show, and will probably have to stay at least two weeks for the investigation.
